Until March 9, Pelican Lake near Albertville, Minnesota has no regulations on how much you bring in.
According to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources there is too much snow and ice covering the lake, and it’s creating a lack of oxygen for the lake’s ecosystem. With the lack of oxygen, plants are dying and soon, fish will too.
It’s all part of a larger plan to get ducks back on the lake and allow the underwater plant life to flourish again. So catch all the fish you can handle, the state and Pelican Lake is depending on it.
