Favorite Fishing Technique: All of 'em! Refining a favorite is difficult since I fish so many different fish species throughout the year. It might be casting bucktails for muskies in the morning, topwater panfish mid-day and trolling for walleyes in the evening. That's simply one day! I love to experiment with tackle and technique to figure out additional methods to catch fish.

About:  "Doc" has multiple major wins to his credit and is known as Doctor Sonar because of his expertise in marine electronics. He has a total of 4 PWT wins. He also won the MWC National Walleye Championship in 1986 and the RCL National Walleye Championship in 2002. He has a winning formula that has worked for him on both lakes and rivers; this formula includes using today's technology to his advantage on the water. While GPS and Sonar technology are common tools in competitive walleye fishing, few walleye pros have blended the technology with aerial photos, satellite elevation charts and custom-designed contour maps as well as Doc does and he has proved his techniques on the tournament trail. Because Doc is willing to share his knowledge and experience, he was the recipient of the PWT Norb Wallock Memorial Teaching Award for being the "Top PWT Teaching Pro" in 2004.
